Tutoring Service Agreement, Refund, Cancellation, and Attendance Policy Step Up for Students Scholarship Funds Tutoring services may be paid for through the Step Up for Students Scholarship Program. Once scholarship funds have been approved, released, and applied to reserved tutoring services, the funds are considered earned and committed to the student's educational program. All payments made through Step Up for Students for booked tutoring services are final and non-refundable. No refunds, chargebacks, reversals, credits, or transfers will be issued due to: Voluntary withdrawal from tutoring services; Changes in educational plans or school enrollment; Scheduling preferences or conflicts; Failure to attend scheduled sessions; Failure to utilize purchased tutoring hours within the applicable service period. Reservation of Services Upon receipt of scholarship funds, the provider reserves tutor availability, instructional time, educational resources, and administrative support for the student. These resources are allocated specifically for the student's benefit and may not be reassigned once services have been booked. Service Availability Although payments are non-refundable, all purchased tutoring services remain available to the parent/guardian and student during the applicable service period. The provider will make reasonable efforts to schedule and deliver all purchased tutoring hours, subject to tutor availability, scheduling capacity, holidays, and unforeseen circumstances. Parents are encouraged to schedule sessions promptly to ensure availability. Session Expiration Unless otherwise stated in writing, all purchased tutoring hours must be used within twelve (12) months of the date scholarship funds are received by the provider. Any unused tutoring hours remaining after the expiration period will be forfeited and will not be eligible for refund, credit, or extension. The provider may, at its sole discretion, grant an extension due to extraordinary circumstances. Cancellation and Rescheduling Parents must provide at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session. Sessions canceled with proper notice may be rescheduled at no additional charge, subject to tutor availability. Repeated cancellations may result in reduced scheduling priority. No-Show Policy A student who fails to attend a scheduled session without notice, arrives more than fifteen (15) minutes late, or is unavailable at the scheduled time will be considered a no-show. No-show sessions may be deducted from the student's purchased tutoring hours and will not be refunded. Provider Cancellation If a tutor must cancel a scheduled session, the provider will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice and reschedule the session at a mutually agreeable time. No tutoring hours will be deducted when a cancellation is initiated by the provider. Compliance with Scholarship Requirements All services are subject to applicable Step Up for Students policies, procedures, and scholarship requirements. If any provision of this policy conflicts with applicable law or scholarship regulations, the provider reserves the right to modify the policy to remain compliant. Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment By authorizing payment through Step Up for Students and scheduling tutoring services, the parent/guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to this Tutoring Service Agreement, Refund, Cancellation, and Attendance Policy. The parent/guardian further acknowledges that scholarship funds applied to reserved tutoring services are non-refundable and that purchased services remain available for use during the applicable service period.
